Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii’s
annual Brunch with Santa is a Christmas tradition families look forward to. So, it was not a surprise when the event sold
out weeks before it took place on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Japanese
Cultural Center Manoa Grand Ballroom.
Festivities
included a delicious buffet meal and candy bar, professional photo with Santa, a
Christmas gift, face-painting, games and crafts, costumed characters,
magicians, live-entertainment and even a keiki fashion show. As if that were not enough, there were raffles
for both adults and kids, a craft and rummage sale, and a delicious bake sale featuring
tables overflowing with tempting sweets due the generosity of Prevent Child
Abuse Hawaii’s
board members, their friends and families.
Brunch with
Santa helps to raise much appreciated funds for child abuse prevention programs
statewide. Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii also invited the
community to get into the spirit of giving this year by becoming sponsors for
children from abuse shelters. Thank you
to the many groups and individuals who were sponsors.
