April is Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month
March 2014
As
part of a national movement to stop child abuse and neglect before it occurs,
Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii, Hawaii State Department of Health and the Child
Abuse Prevention Planning Council, a committee of private, state and Federal
organizations, sponsor Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month during April each
year. April is devoted to the issue of child abuse prevention because research
shows there is a high incidence of child abuse in April.
